Right now we are at what could very well be the quietest and most reserved tasting ever. Making up for this is the fact that we are tasting through 20 (yes – twenty) years of Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz. Don likes the 2004. Nita preferred the 1997. But we both agree that the 1987 is not our cup of tea.

DON – Before we opened we were given the opportunity to buy a case of the 1999 Altamura Cabernet Sauvignon ($157) and I opened a bottle recently to find it is an unbelievable smooth, big black currant and spicy cabernet. This is a ten year-old Napa Valley Cabernet that is still going strong.
