Oscar has a deep connection with Napa Valley. His father, Salvador Renteria,  arrived at Sterling Vineyards in 1962 from Mexico working first as a field laborer, then a vineyard supervisor. After several years, Salvador left to oversee the formative vineyards of Beaulieu Vineyards, Clos Pegase, Cuvaison and Silverado. While working these vineyards, Salvador initiated novel vineyard experiments which earned the respect of famed vintners such as Andre Tchelistcheff, Rick Forman and John Thacher.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">In 1993, Oscar Renteria was passed the torch and assumed proprietorship of Renteria Vineyard Management which has become the third largest vineyard management company in the North Bay Area. In 1997 Renteria Wines produced its first wines and produces about 2,000 cases annually. Join us as we pair Renteria and their second label, Salva Tierra, with more outstanding creations from Chef Mark.</p>
