Tuesday, August 17th at 7:00pm Ryan Waugh, owner and winemaker of Waugh Cellars, returns to BRIX.

In 2001 Ryan founded Waugh Cellars, which now produces 3000 cases of award winning wine annually: a Russian River Chardonnay, a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Waugh Cellars’ best selling Dry Creek Zinfandel. At just 31, with seven vintages already behind him, Ryan is one of the youngest winemakers working in Napa and Sonoma.

A new wine brand, Six Degrees, was released in January 2008. Six Degrees is a Sonoma cabernet from an exclusive two-acre vineyard on the uppermost reaches of the Mayacamas Mountains known as Redwood Hill.

First Course
Shrimp and yellow potato croquettes w/ Aji Amarillo aioli & candied lime salsa
Paired with 2008 Chardonnay

Second Course
Duck tostada, sweet potato tortilla, herb salad & habeneros honey salsa
Paired with 2006 Zinfandel

Third Course
Pork loin, cheddar sweet onion potato tart, pickled rhubarb & blackberry Zinfandel reduction
Paired with 2007 Petite Sirah

Fourth Course
Spiced lamb leg crepinette, panisse & curry tomatillo
Paired with 2006 “Six Degrees” Cabernet Sauvignon
